Everything you Need to Know about Osteopathy
What is osteopathy?
What osteopaths do? Let's find out about Osteopathy!
Osteopaths believes that all body systems interrelate and depend upon one another for good health. Osteopaths treat the entire body, including muscles, joints, and ligaments.
An Osteopath utilises a holistic approach that not only focuses on the area of pain and will examine your entire body to discover possible causes for your problem. For example, if you see an Osteopath for a sore knee, they may also look at your ankle, pelvis, and back.
Do I need an osteopath?
If you are struggling with pains or injuries, then you need an Osteopath. It involves massage, manual therapy, and body adjustments (manipulation).
The techniques for Osteopathic manipulative treatments include pressure, compression, or joint mobilisation. The goal may be to increase your range of motion or to reduce pain.
Additionally, osteopaths have an in-depth knowledge of biomechanics, ergonomics, and exercise rehabilitation.
